The lines are looooooong at polling sites in North Carolina, despite record early voting numbers.
If you live near a campaign headquarters or GOTV staging location, would you consider dropping off bottled water and/or individually packaged snacks? We will get them to our polling sites.
It's sunny and in the 60s today, which is great, but standing for hours in line is thirst work!
Today I'm at a GOTV staging location at 4101 Resident Circle in north Cary near Morrisville. We took water bottles to several nearby voting sites where there are 100 or more in line. But need more, with more than 8 hours to go and possibly longer if long lines persist.
Another Cary staging location in need is at 915 Kildaire Farm Road, across from Food Lion grocery store.
Our rural HQs also need folks with cars to canvass last-minute voters and possibly give rides to the polls if needed.
The presidential race in NC is so flippin’ close!!! We don't want any voters to get discouraged by the lines and walk away without casting their ballots.
Please share widely with your friends and relatives in NC. Republicans vote in high numbers on Election Day, so Dems discouraged by lines could make or break our numbers, for realz.
